Fraud Team needing innovative approach

SCOPE:

The Outsourced Recruitment Company were engaged to find a team of 14 Fraud Officers to work across the three existing teams.

CHALLENGES:

Due to the state of the market at the time, which included high demand and low supply of candidates, applicants were receiving a high volume of job offers. This meant that there were a high number of candidates who did not turn up to interviews, took counter offers from their current employer or rejected job offers. This caused significant frustration for hiring managers who were already facing significant time shortage.

SOLUTION:

The Outsourced Recruitment Company identified that one of the issues was that the salary on offer was low compared to other roles within the city. It was identified that during the Covid lockdown years many candidates with financial services experience had moved to regional areas. These individuals were finding a lack of challenging work in their new locations.  It was also noted that the salary level on offer was considered high for regional locations.  The TORC team broadened the search to include candidates from regional areas where there was less competition for candidates. This led to a broader pool of excellent candidates. The Outsourced Recruitment Company dedicated a small team to the task of sourcing candidates for the fraud teams and conducted a thorough 2 stage interview process prior to presenting candidates.  TORC's Dependability Test was employed to ascertain commitment to the process. 

OUTCOME:

The Outsourced Recruitment Company were able to fill all roles outlined within the original brief and continue to source candidates for the teams as they grow. Less candidates pulled out of the process unexpectedly
and success ratios improved, saving hiring managers time and stress. The company continue to experience growth, partly due the quality of service they offer, and The Outsourced Recruitment Company remain a critical
